This information may be requested and provided by you when you send us an EMail, subscribe to the E-Flash Electronic Newsletter, apply for or renew your FICRA Membership, request a Citizens’ Patrol Home Check, or sign up for an event at the Nichols Community Center. We use this information to communicate with you and provide the services you have requested. We may also gather additional personal or non personal information in the future.
In some cases, the information you provide is not actually submitted to our website, but to another site. For example, we use Mailchimp for the FICRA E-Flash, and when you sign up through our site, you are actually submitting the information via their secure website. Mailchimp ensures compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, which sets rules on the EMail that is sent and clear guidelines for opting out. In addition, FICRA and the Trust do not accept any payment information on our website, even if you are filling out our Membership Form or signing up for an event. Before being asked to submit payment details, you are transferred to PayPal’s secure site so that none of your personal financial information is actually collected on our site.

FICRA and the Trust collect and use your personal information to communicate with you and deliver the service(s) that you have requested.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
FICRA and the Trust do not sell, rent or lease our Member lists to third parties. We do use the information you provide to send you EMail through a service we subscribe to (Mailchimp), send you postal mail, and deliver services (such as Home Check). All third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to FICRA and the Trust, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
FICRA and the Trust may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process on FICRA/Trust or the site; b) protect and defend the rights or property of FICRA/Trust; and/or c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of FICRA/Trust, or the public.
