The Brothers Four Are Coming to Fox Island!

We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide a Labor Day end of summer festival on Fox Island featuring The Brothers Four. There will be a car show and food trucks. Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” band will perform as lead in to The Brothers Four. This is bound to be a sold-out concert, so get your tickets early! No refunds will be issued. The outdoor concert and car show is scheduled for 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Monday, September 5th, 2022. Bring your own lawn chair(s) and enjoy our immense green space. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. No outside alcohol is permitted.

The Brothers Four were pioneers in the “folk revival”, and of the few groups from those times still performing today, they remain one of the best known and most popular. Their all-acoustic performances consist of guitars, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and of course the trademark rich blend of their four voices. An evening with this quartet is an unforgettable time of pure, acoustic music and entertainment. Musical million-sellers for The Brothers Four include “Greenfields,” “Yellow Bird,” “Try to Remember,” and “Across the Wide Missouri.” And, their hit recording of “The Green Leaves of Summer” from the motion picture “The Alamo”, was nominated for an Academy Award.

This vocal/musical group has been playing to audiences internationally for years. Their first American gig, after returning from Bangkok, Thailand, is right here on Fox Island at the Nichols Community Center (how cool is that)! Tickets for FICRA members are $15 per adult and free for youths 15 and under with a paying FICRA adult member. Tickets for non-members are $25 per adult and $10 for youths (under 16) with a paid adult. Purchase tickets and renew/get your membership here. Tickets are available until 7:59PM on September 4th, 2022.
