UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  Rebranding meeting postponed tonight’s meeting with the Trust Board

Committee Reports:

Ties & Tiaras (2/11/22):  Approximately 18 children and 12 adults registered to date.  A “Disney Princess” will donate her time to participate in exchange for handing out business cards. Miguel to bring water and snacks. Aileen will donate cookies. Candy to donate tiaras and boutonnieres. DJ hired for $350 for two hours. Lindsey and friend will decorate with balloons and set up photo corner. Hal and Annie available for membership renewals.

Magical Strings (3/18/22):  Arrangements made for Celtic group to perform. Cost is $750 for a two-hour performance of instrumentals, storytelling, and Irish dancing. Hal suggested we sell tickets at $10 for members and $15 for non-members (children under 15 years of age with accompanying adult free) to offset the cost.  Performance to begin at 7:30 p.m. We will snail mail a Spring flyer, send through email, and post on social media to advertise. This has been a popular event in the past so hoping to break even or at least off-set the cost.

Easter Egg Hunt (4/16/22):  Candy and Aileen to chair event. Plastic, filled, eggs to be ordered (2000) through Oriental Trading Company. Half filled with candy and half with small toys. Committee of volunteers needed. Prizes needed for “golden” eggs. Candy mentioned we have a Costumed Easter Bunny donated for entire event and picture taking.

Elections forthcoming in March for FICRA and April for FICRA Trust. FICRA elections held at the Board meeting March 11th. Positions available in 2022 are Secretary, Treasurer and President. Cannot add additional Director roles without changing the bylaws. However, committee chairs are always welcome. Jim Braden to chair counting of votes. Lindsey said she would like to maintain her role as Vice President. Candy would like to remain as secretary and Hal would like to remain as treasurer. Miguel voiced that he could take the President role if no one else wanted it. Otherwise, he would remain as Past President. Notice of elections conveyed via email, snail mail, and social media.

New Business:

Youth baseball:  Wes to coach T-ball in back field. Registrations forthcoming.

PenMet Parks DeMoley Nature Sand Spit beach cleanup and volunteer day: Scheduled for 2/25 from 9:00 am to noon. This is NOT a sponsored FICRA or FICRA Trust event.
