Meeting called to order at 7:05

Wes made a motion to approve the November minutes, Hal seconded it.

Public Comments:  A question was asked if the November minutes were uploaded online.  The answer was yes.

President’s Report (Miguel):  An explanation of missing members.  Miguel noted that we could have done a zoomed meeting but felt some things are better discussed in person.

Treasurer’s Report

Checking:  $34,160.77

Savings: $25.00

Money Market:  31,158.21

Total checking and savings:  $66,088.43

PayPal: $744.45

Other current assets:  $273.64

Total Liabilities:  $982.15

Total assets:  $66,362.07

$3500 not used in Ficra activities in 2020 returned to Ficra from the Trust

Gained one new member

Total income can only be 35% of the total from non-members and 65% from members due to our legal status.  Hence, this year we received a sizable donation of $20,000 from a member.  Therefore, any profit made from the Santa Run and Jingle Dash could offset the requirements of our C3 status.  In the future, profit ventures should go through the Trust side.

New business:

Cupcake Decorating (November) all slots filled.  It was well received from those that attended.  A good trial run for the bakery involved.

Received $500+ from “donation” button on the Santa run sign up.

Rebranding:  Wes will be the conduit to the board. Melody Cook feels she has enough input to draw up some designs.  Miguel asked that she be prepared to share through a joint meeting with the Trust in January.  Many positive comments on her presentation and work with brainstorming. What does our face look like in the future?  Would like to get her summary of the brainstorming session so that both boards could be fully informed.

Tree Lighting: Santa at fire station at 4:30 and arrives at 5:00.  A change needed on social media since it was previously publicized for 5:30. Scout Troup 727 to be asked to attend the fire outside.   Jim Braden to contact the Scout leader.  Still need cups and beverages. Hal/Candy to make a Costco run. We need to have as little touching as possible to be covid friendly.

Santa Run:  We had to redo the insurance.  Everything else is ready.  Need someone to man ficra booth.  As of yesterday, we have 150 on the Santa run and another 50 for the kids Jingle Dash.  Numbers still expected to increase. Flaggers still needed. Will send out another social media request.  Briefing for volunteers on Saturday evening at 6:00.  We ordered extra shirts of various sizes for late registrants who could not order before the deadline.  These are limited in quantity, and first come first serve at bib pick up for registered participants.

Mascot:  Order was placed.  Hoping it arrives in time for the Santa Run.
