FICRA BOARD MEETING MINUTES
March 12, 2020
Meeting Called to order at 7:03 pm
FICRA 2020 Elections: Jim Braden is Chairing the Nominating Committee and presented the Committee’s nominees for five of the six positions needing nominees:
For President: Miguel Martinez For VP: Pia Beetham
For Secretary: Candy Wawro For Treasurer: Hal Goodall
For Director 1: Rob Moore For Director 2: No nominee
(Howard Stapleton has agreed to stay on as Immediate Past President.)
Jim asked for nominations from the floor for any of the FICRA board positions with three separate queries. There were none.
Jim therefore asked that there be a motion made to vote by acclamation. Motion made, seconded. All those in attendance responded by saying Ay. There were no nays. Therefore, all the nominees listed above have been elected.
Audit Elections: There are a minimum of 3 persons to be elected to the audit committee and they will then assign positions within the committee.
The Nominating Committee presented Joan Broughton, Tony Moore, Diane Abney, and Jennifer Beard as nominees for the Audit Committee.
There were no nominations from the floor, with three separate queries. Jim therefore asked that there be a motion made to vote by acclamation. Motion made, and seconded. All those in attendance have responded by saying Ay. There are no nays. Therefore, all the nominees listed above have been elected.
There was a motion to adjourn the election process, seconded, and unanimously approved.
FICRA President Miguel Martinez convened the March 12, 2020 meeting of the new Board at 7:20 PM.
It was noted that there is not a quorum to conduct business requiring a Board vote
Public Comments: Karen Craven commented that the upcoming Magical Strings concert could use more advertising. She is willing to work with whomever could help with that.
President’s Report: Miguel reports that there has been tremendous support to creating new events and activities for this coming year. He welcomes the new board members to the board.

Memberships for 2019 – 2020 total 369; over 177 yet to be renewed just from last year.

Committee Reports: No reports due to elections
Meeting Adjourned at 7:45 pm
Next Meeting is to be announced, with appropriate notice, due to the CORONA-19 virus situation.
